When I first started into the journey into the lifestyle, I really had some misconceptions of what it always entailed. I used to think that these feelings that I was feeling, were weird, or perverse. I didn't realize at the time, that there were so many out there who were feeling these emotions, desires, these needs… as I was.

It started out as simple curiosity. I ventured around into some BDSM chat rooms, simply out of boredom one night. What I found intrigued me. And me being the person that I am… I had to find out more. What was this whole BDSM thing anyway? So, I began my research. I read as much as possible, chatted with people, asked questions… and watched, cautiously. I realized how vulnerable one could be in this lifestyle… and all these emotions started pouring out. It was scary and beautiful all at the same time. So many things that my journey embraces. My journey is about love, devotion, desire, needs, learning, and freedom in being bound. Simply put, the essence of my soul being complete.

The BDSM lifestyle is so complex. There are so many transitions that can take place, so many paths that you can choose. There is such a sense of love, romance, seduction, insatiable carnal needs, devotion, and love. The beauty of the lifestyle and the journeys is simply unexplainable. It's so much more then people give it credit for. I ask that you not judge it, without learning about it first. This lifestyle isn't for everyone, obviously. And, first think you must understand is that this is what feels right to 'me'. I'm not asking for you to embrace this lifestyle simply because it's how I feel I should be. Explore the lifestyle only if it is something that you desire and want. Don't judge something based on what others tell you… judge it based on what you know. It's very true, on this journey… you will have many ups and downs. Remember that all downs aren't because of bad things… ~Everything happens for a reason~. I know this now, and believe it more then ever.
